Miyu Shindo

Miyu Shindo was born in Obu City, Aichi Prefecture in 2002. She was a finalist at the 19th Chopin International Piano Competition (Poland). Shindo actively performs in Japan and abroad, such as at the 75th Festival de musique de Menton (France) and the 41st Kirishima International Music Festival. She has also performed with Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra and the New Japan Philharmonic. Miura has made many appearances in the media including NHK Best of Classic, Classic Club, etc.
She is a scholarship recipient of the Ezoe Memorial Recruit Foundation (53rd cohort).
Miura studied at the Central Music School of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Russia) from 2018, graduating in 2021. Currently she studies at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (Germany). Miura has studied under Arie Vardi.
