Goto Ko

Goto Ko was born in Oita City, Japan. He started the violin at the age of three. Goto graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music. He won First Prize in the High School Kitakyushu Division at the 66th and 68th Student Music Concours of Japan, and the Yokohama Citizens Prize in the High School Nationwide Division at the 68th Student Music Concours of Japan. Goto won Third Prize at the 14th Lipinski and Wieniawski International Competition for Young Violinists and Third Prize at the 3rd Guadagnini Competition in Japan. He participated in the 13th and 20th Beppu Argerich Music Festival. Goto has studied under Shinozaki Eisuke, Kawase Mayumi and Tatsumi Akiko. Currently he is a member of the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
