Iwasa Kazuhiro

Iwasa Kazuhiro graduated from Tokyo College of Music and then went to France. He studied the flute under Raymond Guiot and Kudo Shigenori. Iwasa graduated from CMA10 Conservatoire du 10e Hector Berlioz and École Normale de Musique de Paris with honors. He won a prize in the flute category at the Paris UFAM International Competition. In 1991, Iwasa took part in the European and American tours of the Saito Kinen Orchestra conducted by Seiji Ozawa, and has participated in the Saito Kinen Festival in Matsumoto and their tours for more than 30 years since then. In 1993 he gave a recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. Iwasa has performed in numerous music festivals including the Kirishima International Music Festival and Miyazaki International Music Festival, in concerts with Mito Chamber Orchestra, Orchestre de chambre Jean-François Paillard, and Tokyo Mozart Players to name a few. Currently he is a specially appointed associate professor at Tokyo College of Music and a member of Custom Winds Woodwind Quintet.
