Haruka KUROIWA’s career began with invitations to the “Progetto di Martha ARGERICH” at the Lugano Festival and concerts with the new Prussian Philharmonic in the Berlin Philharmonic.
He completed his studies at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale<Incontri col Maestro> di Imola in Italy.
During this time he studied with Franco Scala, Leonid Margarius, Boris Petrushansky and also received lessons from Sergei Babayan and Ivo Pogorelich.
He is a prizewinner at the All Japan Music Competition, the Marsala International Competition in Italy and the Alicia de Larrocha International Competition in Andorra, among others.
Numerous concerts, including at the Palermo Classica in Sicily and at the Christofori Piano Salon in Berlin, have made him known to a wider audience.
In the German press he was praised as “the king of accompaniment, who enchants with everything he has to be”. His Bach interpretations are regularly praised. In 2025, Haruka Kuroiwa will perform All Bach program in Japan and France including Sonatas for Klavier.
In addition to his solo work, he played with well-known orchestras such as the Brandenburg Symphony, the Brandenburgische staats Orchester Frankfurt an der Oder, the New Prussian Philharmonic, the Rovereto Chamber Orchestra and the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra etc. He also works as a chamber musician and church organist.
Haruka has recorded several albums with works by Bach, Beethoven and Chopin on the King International. He is represented by GB Artist Management France.
