World’s First Joint Performance Realized
A memorable joint performance with Ms. Martha Argerich and Ms. Kyung-Wha Chung was realized at the MUSIC FESTIVAL Argerich’s Meeting Point in Beppu on May 19.
Thankfully this was made possible by a proposal from Ms. Chung.
The program Franck’s Violin Sonata was also suggested by Ms. Chung. The performance created a special world, different from any previous performances of the Franck piece that only these two masters was able to realize.

With profound expressiveness of many stories of struggles and confusions in life, and by creating a world full of diverse shades of weak tones, they conveyed a message to us about the joy of living free from those struggles and confusions.

It was a miraculous moment of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
We are all grateful for the performance of the two great artists that will be inscribed in the history of our Music Festival.

Tickets will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023. (Japan time)
