The Tokyo College of Music Orchestra Academy

The Tokyo College of Music Orchestra Academy will be launched in April 2022 with the aim of fostering musicians who will be able to perform in orchestras in Japan and around the world. Tokyo College of Music is the oldest private music institute in Japan, which was founded as Toyo Conservatory of Music in 1907. Through its long history, the college orchestra has performed in more than thirty cities in the US, China, Austria, the Netherlands, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany as well as in Japan. Based on the education nurtured so far, the Orchestra Academy will expand its performing activities with the faculty of the College, musicians and educators who are developing their activities in various areas. In the 2022 season, the orchestra will appear in the 22nd Beppu Argerich Music Festival.
