Komine Koichi

Komine Koichi studied at the Music High School Attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, and then the University, going on to graduate from Conservatoire de Paris with the highest grades. He gave a debut recital sponsored by the Japan Federation of Musicians at Tokyo Bunka Kaian. Komine has performed at the Beppu Argerich Music Festival, Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival, Viola Space, Recital Nova, etc. He studied at the Orchestra de Paris Academy, and then served as a principal violist in the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra. Currently Komine is a principal violist in the City of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra. He is also a member of Kioi Hall Chamber Orchestra Tokyo and Kansai String Quartet. Komine is teaching at Kyoto City University of Arts and Soai University. His first solo album “Monologue” was designated as one of the specially selected recordings by Record Geijutsu magazine.
