Aile String Quartet was formed with students of Toho Gakuen School of Music in 2011. Aile means wing in French and the group was named with this word in the hope that it would fly high in the future. The quintet has performed in many concerts and music programs including JT Young Ensemble Series, Viola Space, a concert produced by Imai Nobuko at the Phoenix Hall in Osaka, NHK-BS “Classic Club,” and “Classic Music Hall,” Le Pont International Music Festival, Takefu International Music Festival, Morning Concerts at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Meguro Persimmon Hall “Future Sounds Gala Concert,” and concerts at Kyoto Concert Hall.
The Quartet has studied at Festival Pablo Casals de Prades, Korean educational music festival GMMFS, and Project Q. They have performed with Fukasawa Ryoko, Ito Kei, and Ohyama Heiichiro. The group has studied under Harada Koichiro and Mori Hakuro.
